BATHROOM RENOVATION IN AUTUMN 2024

For even more well-being during your holiday. Some bathrooms at Hotel Alpina have been given a new look since autumn 2024 – with stylish design, high-quality furnishings, and even more comfort. Whether you’ve had an active day in the mountains or simply want to relax – the newly renovated bathrooms in the “Standard Double Room” category offer our guests the perfect place to unwind and refresh.

60 YEARS OF ALPINA…GRANDPA’S STORY

In 1957 I bought the present plot of land for 25 shillings (today 2 euros) per square meter at that time, and immediately afterwards, in 1958, I began preparations for the construction work.

In 1959 the shell was completed and after I married my Hilde in 1960 we moved into the new house.

In 1962 it was expanded and the Pension Hilde with 12 beds was built. At that time, we still had breakfast with the guests in our private kitchen.

In 1966 the reconstruction to 30 beds took place. With this expansion was also switched to half board. My wife Hilde took care of the kitchen and I took care of the service.

In 1972 we were able to expand and modernize our cottage again to 50 beds, by then the rooms were already equipped with bath/shower and toilet.

In 1983 another extension was made and the first passenger lift was installed

In 1991 we were able to buy the Bergland house and in the same year Hilde’s Schirmbar was built, which has always been a popular meeting place for guests.

In 2011 the last major renovation took place, together with my daughter Heidi, son-in-law Erwin and granddaughter Daniela, who continues to run the Hotel Alpina today with great pleasure.
