Route coming from Germany (motorway road tax disc not required)

Take the motorway from Munich to Salzburg (A 8) as far as Siegsdorf

Leave the motorway and continue towards Inzell.

Follow the road until you come to the Lofer turn-off.

Take the Stein Pass, crossing the border into Austria and continue to Lofer.

From here you head towards Saalfelden and then towards Zell am See.

In Maishofen you will see the turn-off into the Glemmtal Valley.

From here it is just 14 km to Saalbach Hinterglemm.

         

Route from the east of Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia or Hungary

Take the “Westautobahn” motorway from Vienna to Salzburg (A 1).

Leave the motorway at the “Wals-Lofer” exit.

Cross the border and continue onto Bad Reichenhall and then take the Stein Pass.

At Lofer head towards Zell am See.

Then head towards Maishofen - Saalbach Hinterglemm.

or

Take the “Westautobahn” motorway from Vienna to Salzburg (A 1).

At the Salzburg junction change to the Tauernautobahn motorway heading towards Villach.

Leave the motorway at the Bischofshofen junction and continue on the main road
“Pinzgauer Bundesstraße” no. B 311 towards Zell am See.

Then head for Maishofen - Saalbach Hinterglemm.

     

Route coming from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia (Villach)

Take the “Tauernautobahn” motorway (A 10) from Villach to Salzburg.

Leave the motorway at the Bischofshofen junction and continue on the main road “Pinzgauer Bundesstraße” no. B 311 towards Zell am See.

Then head for Maishofen - Saalbach Hinterglemm.

or

Take the “Tauernautobahn” motorway (A 10) from Villach to Salzburg.

Leave the motorway at Spittal and continue to Mallnitz where you can board the car carrying train to Böckstein.

Having departed the train, continue on the main road “Pinzgauer Bundesstraße” no. B 311 towards Zell am See.

Then head for Maishofen - Saalbach Hinterglemm.

    

Route coming from Italy (Brenner)

Take the “Brennerautobahn” Motorway (A 13) heading towards Innsbruck.

Take the “Innsbruck Ost” exit and continue on the “Inntalautobahn” motorway (A 12) heading for Wörgl.

Leave the motorway at the “Wörgl West” exit.

Follow the main road no. B 312 to Saalfelden.

Then head for Maishofen - Saalbach Hinterglemm.
